Management of
Lumps and Bumps

Various lumps and bumps often present in primary care  requiring simple treatment  in an office environment. The key with all lumps and bumps is the correct diagnosis. Brygel covers a vast range of lumps and bumps and details how to confidently diagnose them.

Going through each condition Brygel demonstrates with high quality surgical videos the various options for treatment of:

Lipomata, both simple and multiloculated, sebaceous cysts, pilar cysts, non-infected and infected with abscess.

In this course Brygel also demonstrates:

    • Drainage of an abscess, head and neck lumps and needle aspiration cytology.
    • A variety of local anaesthetic techniques for the treatment of non-infected and infected sebaceous cysts.
    • Several surgical methods depending on the sites on the body, the severity of the infection and the skill and experience of the practitioner.
    • The management of the resultant cavity following the removal of a cyst and how to avoid damage to underlying structures.

Also covered in detail are subcutaneous lipomata from small to large, the tips and tricks of doing this procedure simply and avoiding excessive bleeding.

In all these procedures suturing is practiced and the techniques of delayed primary closure are discussed.
